Building Artistic Ambassadors, One Dance at a Time

 Ballet Folklorico Mexican Tradition- A Celebration of the traditional music and dance of Mexico! 

Julio Ruiz Founder and director, has taken on the important task of becoming an artistic ambassador of Mexico in the United States. He conducts weekly workshops where he teaches Traditional Mexican Folk Dance. Ruiz is always looking to collaborations with other community organizations that share the value of using education as a tool to create more awareness and unity in our diverse community. An example of this is his collaboration with the office of  Enlace del Gobierno del estado de Guanajuato (The State of Guanajuato’s Government Liason)   This collaboration allowed Ruiz to invite a well-known theater director, Gerardo Curiel, to provide an intensive two day workshop focused on developing the students’ performance art skills. Curiel’s experience as an actor and director with performance organizations such Teatro de Mediado and Calle Clown brought a wealth of knowledge to our dance group.Come and join many more fun, multicultural experiences like this one with us!
